From Robyn Carr, #1 New York Times bestselling author of the popular Virgin River novels, comes Thunder Point-the highly anticipated new series that will make you laugh, make you sigh, and make you fall in love with a small town filled with people you'll never forget.

Nobody is as surprised as Hank Cooper when he receives a phone call informing him that his old army buddy, Ben, has been killed and left a few things for him in his will. When Coop arrives in Thunder Point, Oregon, he’s stunned to find Ben’s Bait and Tackle shop in total disrepair. Even more surprising - in his will, Ben has left Coop the entire property.

A nomad at heart, Coop never imagined himself settling down for long in any one place, let alone a rundown tackle shop/bar in the middle of nowhere. Things get further complicated when he meets local coast guard Sarah Dupre and her younger brother, Landon. With the whole town watching for his next move, Coop must choose between his old life and a place full of new possibilities. A place that just might be home….

My Thoughts
What I liked: Robyn Carr gives the reader a unique male protagonist in Cooper - he's a man's man who does what he wants, when he wants, but he isn't a jerk about it which was refreshing. He's a positive role model, a good friend and a swoonworthy love interest. I enjoyed the women of Thunder Falls too and yeah, they have issues but they aren't so broken that they require a man to "fix" them. Instead, they're a good blend of strength and vulnerability. The Wanderer is told from multiple points of view, all of which flow together seamlessly while still maintaining a distinct voice.

What left me wanting: I didn't want the story to end. :)

Final verdict: Fabulous start to a new series!

Favorite quote:
"I'm not going to push you, crowd you or worry you. I'm just going to love you...until you trust me enough to get your dreams back." <-- swoonilicious right there."
