Behind Closed Doors by B.A. Paris

Everyone knows a couple like Jack and Grace: he has looks and wealth, she has charm and elegance. You'd like to get to know Grace better. But it's difficult, because you realize Jack and Grace are never apart. Some might call this true love.

Picture this: a dinner party at their perfect home, the conversation and wine flowing. They appear to be in their element while entertaining. And Grace's friends are eager to reciprocate with lunch the following week. Grace wants to go, but knows she never will. Her friends call—so why doesn't Grace ever answer the phone? And how can she cook such elaborate meals but remain so slim?

And why are there bars on one of the bedroom windows?

The perfect marriage? Or the perfect lie?

*I received a copy from the publisher in exchange for an honest review*

This was my first B.A. Paris book, but it won't be my last. And I say that as someone who doesn't read a lot of psychological suspense thrillers. (They usually stress me out too much.)

I picked this up expecting to only read a few pages, but before I knew it, I was halfway through the book. I COULD. NOT. PUT. IT. DOWN. The story is told from Grace's POV in a PAST and PRESENT style that is seamlessly blended and leaves no stone unturned. It's really hard to talk about what I enjoyed without spoiling anything, but most of my reading time was spent perched on the end of my seat with my heart in my throat. And the end choked me up me, something that caught me completely off guard.

If you enjoy a book that messes with your head, this one is not to be missed!

  1. Omg I Finally Got Helped  !! I'm so excited right now, I just have to share my testimony on this Forum.. The feeling of being loved takes away so much burden from our shoulders. I had all this but I made a big mistake when I cheated on my wife with another woman  and my wife left me for over 4 months after she found out..  I was lonely, sad and devastated. Luckily I was directed to a very powerful spell caster Dr Emu who helped me cast a spell of reconciliation on our Relationship and he brought back my wife and now she loves me far more than ever..
